My history of working with art is almost my entire life. It started with a love for beauty and art, then art school and higher artistic studies.
This is how I became a sculpture artist.
Then I designed interiors, creating bronze and ceramic sculptures in his spare time. After 20 years of working as an interior designer, I returned to doing what I love to do.

Sculpture has always been part of my DNA, and functionality
Functionality has been at the forefront of my professional life over the years. From the fusion of these two worlds, sculpted porcelain vases were born.
This is how the Magdalena Konior company and the world of porcelain was born.

I don't design my own pieces. I think of something and then I abandon myself to the creative process. I listen to the clay, I observe it... and I see what possibilities it offers me, what ideas it suggests to me.

The fascinating thing is that I can never predict 100% what the final result will be . It is a constant surprise.
The porcelain I shape is unique and unrepeatable.  Each dish is characterized by a different consistency and shape. No two surfaces are the same, demonstrating the organicity formed by my fingertips.
My passion for porcelain comes from its sculptural treatment, from hand modeling, from the play with form, from the simplicity and nobility of the material itself.

I like its delicacy, its transparency, the light that passes through it. And sculpture is space, proportion and emotion. Two worlds that I unite.
“I imagine that art occupies an important place in our daily lives. I believe that everything from a simple mug to a freestanding sculpture is of great importance in creating aesthetic value, beauty, intimacy and personal meaning in our lives. So I guess we surround ourselves with objects that have meaning for us, objects that have a soul, a story. Objects that have real people behind them, objects that bear the signs of the hand of man.
This is why both my sculpture and my functional porcelain are not serial objects, today they are and tomorrow another person will like them . I give them all of myself, my feelings, my moods...â€.
