Sassone Tartufi was born from a personal passion, like all beautiful stories to tell.

At the end of the 90s, Egidio Sassone, a young boy from Rocca Imperiale, in Calabria, deeply loved taste, the flavor and tradition of the Truffle. Thus, he chooses to follow his passion more and more by hunting for this treasure of the earth, with his first truffle dog.

From the small local company, as it was between the 90s and the beginning of the 2000s, Sassone Tartufi today brings its products - fresh truffles and derivatives - not only throughout Italy but throughout the world.

With the passage of time, Egidio becomes I realize that I am suited to this activity and above all that the land of Calabria is very rich in truffles. So, with great courage, he founded Sassone Tartufi, calling on some of the most renowned truffle hunters of the Calabrian - Lucanian Apennines to collaborate. This land, caressed by the southern Italian sun and embraced by the Ionian Sea, is fortunate to be fertile and surrounded by hills and woods, perfect territories for the maturation of truffles.
