Becoming a lumberjack was the natural consequence of a boundless passion for the mountains, feeling an integral part of a mysterious ecosystem, feeling the sap flowing through your veins, experiencing the forest... being the forest...
These were the reasons for undertaking a new project triggered by a feeling of regret in seeing
the abandonment of the mountains, the emptied mountain huts and the reforestation of the meadows verdant.
The pleasant mountain pastures rich in flowers and fragrant essences were increasingly giving way to colonizing plants. By reforesting the latter, they closed the clearings, pushing the wildlife further and further downstream, outside of their habitat. Many of these alpine meadows had become covered with mountain pine, boundless expanses of dark green needles, which had now taken over. Thus began a stimulating search for a bizarre trio, a woodsman, an engineer and a forestry doctor, all united by a single objective, to give new life to the mountains by enhancing the products present on site. In fact, very often given the past restorations carried out by cutting up the entire plant material and leaving it in place.
Often the interventions turned out to be traumatic for the ecosystem for which the grass had to pass through a
thick blanket of shredded wood and it took years.
The group's objective was to enhance that product, that green ocean had to become a resource, not a problem!
The long-sought answer didn't take long to wait, it was enough to take inspiration from the predecessors who made the first attempts to extract essential oils immediately after the war.
Suddenly everything came back, by cutting the mountain pines, by removing them the pasture would be recovered and returned in a short time< lush and in the meantime grind the woody material for the extraction of the essential oil with a thousand properties and resources..
