Minakari Milan began with the dream of showing Indian art and crafts throughout Italy. A beautiful morning my mother and I were sitting on our balcony and drinking chai (Indian tea), we were discussing something about the wealth of Indian art and crafts and then, at the end of this conversation, we came to the conclusion to start -Up Where we can show the Indian heritage with his art and craftsmanship. An initiative that not only promotes Indian craftsmanship, but also supports many women and craftsmen throughout India that make our products. By providing them with a platform we are not only pursuing our dream, but we are also giving them courage and support in following their dreams. In fact, on the same day, we decided the name Minakari. The first reason for this name is because it is the name of my mother, Mina, and another reason is that Meenakari is a very important art in India. Menakari jewels are a very famous and unique form of jewelry. The colors or nail polish that is used to fill the depressions of the drawing on the metal are not filled with normal colors. Menekari colors are essentially metal oxides infusions with powdered glass. The real color of the enamel comes out once the metal is heated (at 850 degrees Celsius). The first time we presented our jewels at the Hindu Temple? in one of their events. And I still remember that we didn't know how people would take our initiative. But in the end, we received immense love and support from everyone. Almost a year has passed and every day that passes we are learning and growing. The love and constant appreciation that we are receiving from each of you is truly overwhelming.
