The story of ""The Marquis of Gallura"" begins in 2014 when, after obtaining a degree in Agro -Trained Sciences and having passed the exam as an agronomist doctor, Valentina chooses love and from Milan he moved to Gallura where he opens your farm and begins the production of the Mirto liqueur. Our production chain is slow and scrupulous to enhance the characteristics of the fruit. Only the best berries will be infused to obtain an excellent product. Our products available are red myrtle, white myrtle, green myrtle and myrtle herbal teas. Let's start with the ""red myrtle"". In our property we have planted about 2 ha of Mirto soil and consequently we have total control of the production chain and we can follow all its phases: from the collection of berries (choosing the perfect moment of maturation), to infusion, up to squeezing Final and bottling. Our product is completely artisan, they are not added nà © preservatives nà © dyes. In addition, we introduced an innovative production technique, that of the ""labor"". Thanks to which we do not filter the myrtle, but we repeat the product several times to obtain a clear liqueur, without impurities and which maintains the authenticity of the liqueur unchanged, both as regards the taste, aroma and color. The flavor of the red myrtle is very decisive, balsamic, fruity with a taste that remains persistent on the palate and with a tannic aftertaste, reminiscent of large red wines. ""Bianco Mirto"": the white myrtle is obtained from the infusion of the white berries in the alcohol of the myrtle. The Mirto plant has two varieties of berry color, white and black. The white berry variety is very rare and in all of Sardinia only 10% of plants have this particularity. In our Mirteto we have implanted 10% of white berry plants, for this reason the production of white myrtle liqueur is limited. The flavor is completely different from the classic black berry myrtle, in fact, is much drier and more floral. ""Green Mirto"": It is obtained from the infusion of the myrtle leaves into alcohol. The collection of the leaves takes place mainly in the spring period when the leaves have a high balsamic power. The flavor recalls a mountain bitterness with herbs, therefore strong, decisive and herbaceous. ""Mirto's herbal teas"": they are produced with myrtle leaves that are first dried, then shredded and finally they go to fill the infusions that are inside the package. They have a balsamic, expectorant and relaxing effect. They favor breathing and are perfect before going to sleep.
