What I do create artistic jewels that tell stories of travel and nature. I love to think that each piece has its own soul and that it is unique in its kind because it is handmade. Each collection is the result of an idea that takes shape on paper by drawing, translates into wax and is made of silver. Make your true nature shine by wearing a Nakoya jewel. Who I am introduced myself, are Ilaria Ferretti, Gemologist, designer and owner of the Nakoya brand. Ever since I was a child I have always had a soft spot for jewels. I remember when I went to my aunt and secretly I opened his treasure box. Pearl necklaces, precious stones, gold rings and silver bracelets. I remained enchanted by the shine and glow of these magnificent objects. Memories became passion and passion has materialized in Nakoya. Nakoya is the result of a vast and articulated training course that over the years has allowed me to mature different technical and artistic skills. I graduated from the University of Florence in Culture and Fashion Design, I attended jewel design courses at the Central Saint Martin in London, I graduated in Gemology from the Italian Gemological Institute and I obtained a Master in design of the jewel at the Polytechnic of Milan. In addition to the qualifications, I feel I can say with certainty that my training has completed itself by traveling. The feeling of freedom, the contact with nature and the encounter with people from all over the world were the result of an invaluable life experience that has translated into jewelry collections with a single experience where, to interior of each individual object, I brought a part of myself.
