TOO ITALY
Too Italy is an innovative textile laboratory that was born in 2011 from intuition, talent and passion of three young friends from Orvieto: Alessia Stendardo, Giovanna Gentili and Ciro Schiaroli. It stands out on the market for the production of cutting -edge artisan accessories that marry with the recycling of construction waste and respect for the environment. Sustainability for the company is a concrete concept: everything is in fact made of bolted PVCs (material that usually covers the floors of the subway and gyms), produced by a Lombard company starting from a natural and ecological dough 100% a base of linen oil and vegetable resins. The PVC combine recycled plastic materials (which are chopped and reimed into the new compound) and inventories for the production of high fashion fabrics. The story Alessia and Giovanna met in 2009 at the Academy of Arts and new technologies in Rome. In the capital they open a study of interior design and dedicate themselves to teaching design software. Tooly's embryo blossomed by chance at that time: the two girls wanted to work on an unpublished material and were intrigued by a construction site waste, the bolted PVC. Instead of throwing it, they decided to transform it into trendy accessories to be exhibited in a temporary exhibition organized by the Academy. After the encounter with Ciro (who then became Alessia's husband), the original idea then evolved into a brand to conquer the market, with a captivating name resulting from a discussion with the chef Antonello Colonna, friend of the three boys, who He had the idea of associating the English word ""Too"" (also/other) with the form of the bolted: the double or in fact recalls the structure of the bolted which constitutes much of the corporate production. In 2011, this was born too Italy, with laboratory and related store in the historic center of Orvieto, a perfect place for gaining visibility, exploiting the remarkable tourist influx that the city of the Cathedral guarantees. The first awards in Vogue Accessories goes the merit of having noticed the creative spirit immediately, the commitment on sustainability and the incredible fashion side of the brand, who wanted to reward with the first of a series of publications in sector magazines they have helped to push the launch of these beautiful accessories. In 2012, Too Italy received the first great satisfaction, with the Dallas Chamber of Commerce who chooses the brand's bags for the Italian Fashion Week in Texas. In 2017 the two girls were selected to represent Italy at the G7 Craftswomen Summit in Tokyo, the international summit on women's entrepreneurship. The growth from there was constant with an increasing territorial expansion, the launch of the e-commerce platform and the concept of sustainability as a key point of the company mission.
