L'ECAILLER DE LA PRESQU'ILE

L'ECAILLER DE LA PRESQU'ILE
The Ecailler de la Presqu'île, is a restaurant with family-run seafood managed by the Christian brothers, Henry et Catherine Le Boudec. The trio will make you taste mainly oysters but there is no shortage of mussels, buccine, sea almonds, shrimp, crab cheles and mazzancolle. The restaurant is located in ""Beauvoir sur Mer"", north-west of Vendée on the Atlantic coast. The town is known for the ""Passage du Gois"", a raised natural road, 4,125 km long, which connects the municipality of Beauvoir-sur-Mer to the island of Noirmoutier. Note as it is subject to periodic flooding (it is often completely submerged), twice a day, due to high tide. This is a ""stage"" not to be missed of the famous ""Route de l'Huître"" (oyster road).
